Executive Biography – Dr. Terryann Nash
Dr. Terryann Nash, MAPL, MA, is a Human Rights Educator, international author, and founder and CEO of NashInspired LLC (est. 2017), a leadership and education consulting organization dedicated to equity, accessibility, and transformative learning. She is the author of Striving to See World Change: James Meredith, NashInspired and the Epicenter, and her work centers on human rights education, Deaf equity, and culturally responsive, community-engaged pedagogy.
Dr. Nash holds a Master’s degree in Advocacy and Political Leadership, a Bachelor of Arts degree in Human Rights and Adult Training & Development with a concentration in American Sign Language (ASL) studies, and an Associate of Arts degree in Sign Language Interpreting Preparation. She is currently completing a PhD in Human Development at Fielding Graduate University, with research focused on culture, identity, and transformative educational practices.
With more than 25 years of experience, Dr. Nash has worked across human rights advocacy, educational leadership, conference planning, youth empowerment, literacy initiatives, and policy-informed community engagement. She is widely recognized as an ASL content creator, diversity and inclusion presenter, and ADA accessibility trainer, with additional experience in performance-based education, including theater, storytelling, and movement-based instruction.
Her professional work bridges academia, community engagement, and global advocacy. She has collaborated with Deaf and Hard of Hearing communities nationally and internationally, supporting expanded access to education and opportunity through bilingual ASL-centered approaches and inclusive instructional design.
Dr. Nash’s leadership extends into both nonprofit and creative sectors, including the development of Diversity Alive! Educational Theater Programs (est. 2009), which uses performance and narrative to advance youth empowerment and cultural awareness.
Through her scholarship, consulting, and public speaking, Dr. Nash brings a dynamic and interdisciplinary voice to conversations on equity, access, and educational justice. Her work continues to inspire institutional change, elevate marginalized voices, and advance global conversations on inclusive education and human rights.
