About Diversity Alive!
Diversity Alive! is an intergenerational arts initiative dedicated to building community through storytelling, creativity, and collaboration. Our mission is to create a positive and engaging learning environment where participants develop artistic skills while working together to produce meaningful creative projects.
Participants gain hands-on experience in acting, scriptwriting, filming, production, and performance. By matching individuals with opportunities that align with their interests and strengths, we encourage confidence, leadership, and creative expression.
As Diversity Alive! continues its rebranding journey, we remain committed to bridging Deaf and Hearing communities through the humanities, honoring diverse voices, and fostering cultural understanding through innovative storytelling.
Each completed project culminates in a community presentation that celebrates participants' growth and serves as a rite of passage into the arts.
Diversity Alive! is led by Prof. Dr. Terryann Nash, MAPL, MA, Interim CEO, with Kevin Nash serving as Onboarding Director of Operations.
Diversity Alive Educational Institute is a year-round educational traveling performing arts experience with over 30 years of experience and youth programming in theater and dance.
